Don't buy this game...unless your prepared for a steep learning curve, hours upon hours of frustrating fun....and the loss of your personal life as it eats away at your very soul......

Awww heck yea buy it!.
Why should we be the only ones having fun.
Welcome to your new obsession. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

If you can get it I would order it on DVD instead.it is the complete collection bar one Paid patch.... you would get Forgotten Battles AEP and Pacific Fighters along with patches up to 4.04M

Having the DVD means you have more flexibility with it in my opinion...

If you love WW2 and flying this is right up your street......... there is a free trial download of the very first version to try, but the flight modelling and a lot more has changed since it came out, ie graphics etc, give that a try first if you have a fast connection

Although an old sim it's still the best, both for online and offline.
I got rid of the other sims when I found this one.
Aside from the flightmodel and damage and so on I very much like the track-(film) feature where one can go back and examine a battle in detail, cycle plane-by-plane and even in slowmotion.
And this works without any performance loss.
Never seen that before.

I guess u have to find out for your self, but I highly recommend this one because of the flightmodel.

Bear in mind that this game presents far harder pilotage than WWIIonline. You will be frustrated several hours before you get it straight but you will be happy of the accomplishment. The game`s more about challenges. The thing specific about it is that no one of us can say that we know all fighters.

There are simply too many.In order to gain unique or above average skill in one plane you need to WORK,you need to FLY it.By the time you get to it,you`re still a n00b in a different plane. So I mean there`s no such thing as everyone knowing the game inside out.You can even shoot me down someday if you catch me flying the FW190 bcuz I`m a 109expert.

Oh and American planes require skill. If you make a transition from Spitifre/Lavochkin to say P51 you die a lot of times.

Apart from a week or two with a couple of other games, this is the only game I've played over the last three years. It has untold scope, like the huge variety of aircraft and the ability to make your own missions - big or small.

And it comes with a solid community, right here - and at a few other sites.

So if you're interested in WWII aviation, which you clearly are, go ahead and get it. You won't be disppointed. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
