Hi all, Just found a few wiked aircraft startup/runup sounds that are really good quality Engine Sounds (http://www.enginehistory.org/sounds.htm)

Also theres a working scale model of a Rolls Royce Merlin xx engine Fully working Merlin xx model (http://www.enginehistory.org/ModelEngines/Hares/Merlin%20XX/MerlinXX.mpg)

Heh, listen to the American R2800 engine in the F8F, and then listen to the British Sabre engine in the Tempest... there simply is no comparison.

man, if the jug in fb/pf sounded like that on startup, id sit on the runway starting up and shutting down to hear that

Great link! Love the Thunderbolt. The Napier, though, sounds like a worn-out vacuum with a hairball clog. Too bad we're stuck with the syntho-sounds in the game.
