Hi All,

It just occured to me that GD has become important in my mental survival, believe it or not.

In my profession I must deal with foreign bankers and politicians on an almost daily basis. This can be very stressful sometimes as they are still human and not exempt from stupidity as they would want you to believe.

I post here often; sometimes seriously and sometimes jokingly. Over the years I have used this forum and community to clear my thoughts and take the time to defrag the grey matter. This is really helpful and most often relaxing. To add, I have learnt a lot in doing so. The individual posters in here all have virtual personalities and have contributed a lot; even LeadSpitter. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I just wanted to take a minute to say thanx to all the members and mods for making my free therapy possible and most enjoyable, and also for the valuable information and humour you guyz/galz have shared over the years. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Virtual group hug! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

BTW, who put xtacy in my coffee? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/heart.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

No, you've gotta thank _yourself_ for livening up the place, Fritz! Hexx, you've got some sense of humour at least, unlike many others posting here...

Please don't recommend this place to them. There's way to many bankers here already http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Hey Fritz, dont mention it. I think we all come here caus it stimulates the mind that little bit more than our average day in life does and caus, well, we like each other. We have a common interest. So, thanks back to you for entertaining/educating me this year.

As for the rest of you http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/mockface.gif

There have been times when things for me have been swirling the bowl and a short stop here has helped me a bit too. Even some of the W@nker posts, be sure.

Same goes for me too actually. Living overseas longterm, people come and go so often that you get tired of making the effort to really get to know them well outside of work so it is quite important for me to have a place like this to "hang out".
Also, what is wrong with everyone else out there? How can they not care about Cannons Vs machine guns, roll rates, damage models, ...what kind of weirdos are these "outsiders"? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

Never take a guy, whose name is "Goat" and whose best friend is a rubber chicken, seriously.

That's what they say isn't it? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

This is so true. I've been overseas for five years and only have one close friend. I've met a lot of people but like you said, they come and go. This is one of the reasons I decided to leave here(Beijing) in the near future and live in Germany permanantly.

Where are you FlatSpinMan?

Ha ha ha , Wayno, I watched that twice wondering "what's the point?". Then I thought "Some sort of screen-saver?". http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Plugging in my speakers(for the third replay) made a world of difference. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
