I am the official leader of these whinners whinning for this plane to be made flyable. And yes , I did seen the message from Oleg , but is not sure yet. I have seen pictures from E3 this year and guess what was shown on the screen? an IAR. Dunno if it was flyable but i was impressed. And is not only about the IAR , Bf110 shares the same faith a s many other planes flying on the East front. If CFS3 would not be failed that much one thing is for sure , we'd have all the planes fighting on the east front long before mustangs , zero , B-17. I for one , preffer anytime to see the Pe-8 , IL-4 or Pe-2 in the game before any B-17 nd if is bout B's , I would anytime go for B-24 , my favorite aircraft (with C47).
until I will take off from IAR I will whine at every news about add-on that says nothing about IAR.

I'm an IAR whiner and fecken proud of it!

Lol. I think the pics you are talking about is ME flying the IAR-81C. Oleg let me take her up for a spin. He told me it will be the next Stuka because of its loadout is rather heavy. But yes, it was flyable.

Zayets may be the official leader of the IAR 80 whiners, but if length of whining time counts, then I probably have it (no offense, Zayets /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif ). Ever since flying the pre-commercial-release demo with the now defunct, but still utterly hip, E54 crew--led by Jennifer, the First Lady of Simulated Air Combat--I've been asking for this plane to become flyable.

I've reposted below what I recently posted on update thread:

*wipes red eyes after grueling day at work, reads latest posts*

I just found out that the IAR 80 and 81 will be available on the add-on CD. That's great, but my understanding was that it would be available on this patch. I can only view this latest announcement with ennui--which is better than the normal sinking feeling, mind you.

Oleg, would you care to meet for some coffee to discuss a small bribe to get this plane flyable sooner? Or at least give me some way to fly it before Christmas? It'd really make my week. I'm still on temporary duty in Moscow, so I can just hop on the metro and meet you wherever after work (the "Bagel" place on Tverskaya, across from the Marriot Grand is convenient for me). Just let me know...

Bula,
You have my vote but you must whine harder than me /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
Too bad E54 don't host anymore a VFS. Would be really nice to have such a squadron flying IARs (in case the IAR will make it in the add-on CD , of course).
For you and everybody else here's a great link about ARR and the pilots who fought on the eastern front. Is kinda completing what we can find on http://www.escadrila54.com. Here's the link http://arr.go.ro
BTW , why Escdrila 54 ? This is quite a fictional name, didn't found any reference about escadila 54.or is just IL2 related?

I'm not too sure why E54 was chosen--I know it's not historically correct. The name was chosen before I joined the squad. Jen might have had to come up with it quickly, I just don't know. She's very good about doing research, but there's wasn't much out there in English when she started beta testing IL2.

This is for Oleg: I'm deadly searious about that small bribe...my Moscow TDY ends in less than two weeks, so your window is closing!
