I the armoured deck modelled in PF?
what i mean is; will the Brit carriers have more protection (unlike the wooden decks of the USN carriers) from kamikazi attacks?

Don't know about the game, but Illustrious got hit by a Kamikaze just forward of the Compass Platform (aka the Bridge on the island). It made a dent, which was leveled with concrete! Flying was not interrupted, and all was returned to normal later that day.

I've seen from Oleg's comments that the target (I mean ship) damage modelling is more expansive in PF than IL 2/AEP. I've taken this to mean that ship's DM is now more analagous to aircraft DM, with different hits having differing effects on the target and damage being visually modelled more comprehensively. Come Friday night I'll be able to tell you from experience. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif
