View Full Version : Why elevator trimming so hard on LW a/c?

Always found it hard to get a nice steady elevator trim setting in Fw190s and Me262. The a/c was always in a positve or negative climb flight atitude.

The a/c seem to have a very coarse trim adjustment.

Decided to test some Allied a/c. What a surprise!!! Very easy to achieve an elevator trim setting for level flight. Whereas with the LW a/c one was always 'tapping up or down', with the Allied a/c the trimming could be left alone for long periods of time without any new inputs required.

Has anyone else found this?

Throttle was set to 75% for all a/c.

It seems as though the jumpy elevators/ailerons/rudders on the 190 and 262 rubbs off on the trim. This touchy behavior makes gunnery very hard aswell, especially on the 190./i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

I've also found this true and it gets very akward to fly the 109 at medium speeds where the 109 still was controlable adjusting the horizontal stab. It's sad really
so much potential has gone down the drain while in this flight modeling and detail into other areas has gone to waste in the flight modeling.

All and many other issues we have found in FB and its predecessor are making me reach a point where as it might be difficult for me to buy another product from this company.
