This thread (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/2361024388/m/4981003509) says nobody else knows how to make sense of it either.

If I had it available on my system, I'd take a look and give you my best guess, unfortunately, I'm without Update 2.0

I think it count the over score in those type of modes.

I am number 1 in all modes put together and I got Rank 7 in free for all, 9 in co-op and 17 in Team mode

I don't get the Templar Rating system either but I am Grand Master at everything except the 'Co-Op' modes but I don't play them.

Grand Master woohoo.

9th - Free For All
167th - All Modes.

I was wondering who was #1 for 'Free For All' but now I know MrKnox. And I can't say I'm surprised. Lol.

Wow, not many people play this game I guess. Not trying to take away from being #1 or whatever, but if every other person on here is in the top 100, I mean come on. I would think a ranking of like 1500 would be more appropriate for an elite player, and then like 10,000 for an average player.

Unless it's a rating from 1-[insert max number here]

Dude...we need to come up with a strategy for Chest Capture. When you cast your eye over it, let me know. Will be on later.

No, I think it all makes sense. There are roughly 800,000 players on the PS3 and a hair over a million on the 360, so that's roughly 2 million total players (all-time, of course, not regular).

Given that, I'd expect most of the players who are serious about improving to find their way to an online forum, both to gain tips and to trumpet their supremacy. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

In that light, it's not surprising to me that a number of people on here have such a good showing in the new Templar Grading.

That said, I'm in the "top" of the pyramid for Wanted, (rank of something like 2500?) and I'm honestly not that good. I tend to have a decent showing for myself most of the time and I can frequently score over 4k, but my level of play is well below "awesome". http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Post Templar Scores along with rank/position, I'm curious to see what numbers are involved.

FWIW, I'm 118745th with a TS of 3800 in FFA http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

24376th with a TS of 25100 overall http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

From what I can see:

"Current Templar Score" = "Average Score For The Last 4 Weeks" X 4 (roughly).

"Templar Score on Next Update" = Current - Average + "Weekly Total"

If these numbers hold in the general case, it means that Templar Score is roughly a month's worth of points, and on each update an average week's worth is subtracted and your new weekly total is added.

Subtracting the average rather than the actual values for past weeks would smooth the value, so that sudden spikes or drops start to bleed off at the very next update, rather than after 4 weeks.

But I haven't been playing a full 4 weeks yet so it may or may not actually be that simple.

Templar score is obtained after adding the 3 best session scores each week for the past four weeks.
This sum will place you in your Templar rank and your position within your rank http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
So if you wanna raise you rank/position for the next week update (guess its gonna be tuesday?) you have to increase at least one of your top 3 session scores that will increase the sum, "leveling" you up

I find it interesting that I'm Master of Co-Op, Seneschal in the other two modes, but Grand Master overall.

Also wondering, what qualifies as "Co-Op" and "Team" - aren't they both the same thing?

Co-Op = Alliance.

Team = Manhunt and Chest capture.

Free for All = Wanted.

Woooooo, I'm a Master, overall. Didn't expect to be a GM. But to all of you who are, respect.

Now have to improve those grades... And play more Alliance.

OK you guys are getting ranks? My Wanted scores aren't even showing up. I have one lower scoring number in there and the 2nd and 3rd are blank. I have played many games where I beat the one number in there.

apparently I've got no rank because I've been playing player matches for 2 weeks. OOPS

Going by my own experience, only games where Templar Grades show up in the lobby count. High Scores from games where Levels show up will not count. And they don't have to be ranked games.

This is a PITA for Alliance since few of the already scarce games seem to be Templar Graded. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif
