View Full Version : My evidence that trailer was at least part in game.

Evidence this trailer is part gameplay.

The crowd isnt looking.

These are not Cgi hands

People on left are acting on a program [see trailer]

At this point the entire people as one change their reactions under programming?

Not cgi hands or cloak

Does this look like a Cgi leg?

Busted - several frames of THIS going on for about 1 second. See quicktime movie at 1:14 - 1:15.

Thats either in game glitching as seen so frequently in 3d engines. OR Ubisoft rendered it in purposefully as a 2d animation, hoping people like me would pick up on it.

Here at the end we see altair make his escape following the red line. He is still pushing people out the way, a bit of an unnecessary detail for a film maker...

You're joking right?

Some seriously wishful thinking. I cant even argue your "evidence" because none of it makes any sense.

But not to worry, I'll have a serious warm fuzzy if I'm proved wrong.

Either your right or the people at UBISOFT is pulling our leg. Maybe by rendering everything in lower quality it looks almost in game.

I personally believe its "mostly" ingame. The part near the start where he shots the one guard, then takes down the second, jumps off his back and kills the 3rd and what seems to be actual target seems a little scripted (I hope not though).

I guess until we can see some more footage with some sort of UI people will assume CGI. However, in that interview with Jade Raymond, she said the idea of a UI is going to be very different by most standards (no quoting her, just what I took from it).

If you didn't see the interviews, check them out here: Assassin's Creed Video's and Interviews (http://www.gametrailers.com/gamepage.php?id=2581)

Edit: Also in picture #6, look at his hands! His fingers are IN the guards NECK! No way that slipped by an animator if that was actually CGI.

You know what i am sick of people like you, if you know why my evidence which I have collected is nonsense then share it with me.

Why even waste your time on here if you arent going to contribute? You just wasted your time and mine.

Please for my curiosity explain yourself.

Thanks for your response. How come the guys hands are rigid? And his red tag glitches through his tunic?

Interview with producer of AC

Interviewer: One thing that was really impressive too was when you were walking through the crows and you could kinda push and kinda do those things. People dont really realise erm how good this game looks right now because they really havent seen it and the trailers, you know a lot of people are gonna write that off 'Oh thats not gameplay' this that and the other

Thanks again im just throwing this out there for people in the know to evaluate it, not just laugh at me... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

05-13-2006, 08:14 PM
http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif How good the game looks remains to be seen. I don€t think the trailer was actually in game...but I could be wrong.

05-14-2006, 03:59 AM
DB...Blazing angels also uses a motion blur effect and many other filters...And that's a curent gen game http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif .
But i myself think this is scripted but real time rendered

05-14-2006, 05:04 AM

That's in-game, 90% certain. But what you posted... dunno.

05-14-2006, 05:26 AM
If thats true then thats good enough for me, someone from PS3forums.com spoke to a different producer on the floor and was told by Ubisoft that the video was a seamless mixture of both Cgi and scripted in game.

So thats that I guess...

05-14-2006, 06:02 PM
Well that's cool then. It will be pretty neat too if it works real seamless between CGI and real time.

05-14-2006, 06:27 PM
also in pic 2 the guy being attacked has virtually no facial expression compaired to the ammount of detail of the rest of the game

05-14-2006, 10:12 PM
If the PS3 is powerful as Sony says it is then the game should look like the trailer if it doesn't already. With so much power of PS3 according to Sony we should be seeing games that looks like FMVs of PS2 games.

05-15-2006, 04:38 PM
I think it's a target render.
Ubisoft did the same thing with Red Steel, i.e. a cgi movie that looks as the game's supposed to look (and looking at RS they got pretty close for showing it half a year before the release and w/o the final dev kit).
So, imo we all can look forward to graphics and gameplay close to the trailers (at least I hope so http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif)

05-15-2006, 06:32 PM
hi, i am convinced that its the real thing, we all havent seen Ps3's power yet, and i am almost sure it wil make us all dizzy, and happy, from the inside......

ehh, annywayz, we will soon know....

05-15-2006, 09:43 PM
I really can't make a decision on this subject.

Me and a few friends were debating the very same thing on IRC, it seems like some of the more fancy parts like when the assassin kills the two guards and the captain or whoever he is is CGI, but various parts of the escape scene do seem to be ingame. It is really hard to tell at this stage, seeing how we havn't seen the PS3's full potential yet. I'm settleing on this trailer being partially animated, and partially game footage. Either way it's very nice and even if it is all animated, I doubt that the actual graphics of the game will be far off.

05-16-2006, 12:47 AM
The game was displayed in more details in an invite-only presentation. Sounds like they had someone actually run around a level for a little while, showing off the crowd motions, the main guy's movements (there was even a glitch where he got stuck at one point while running around on a rooftop or something and they had to restart).. even had him die.

This stuff is in-game.

yeah, have you seen the comercials for GRAW. That game is out and they aren't even showing real game play, so why on earth would they do it for a game that isn't out

03-25-2007, 07:35 AM
Yo, Dude, this proves nothing. unless you have great experience with this type of thing. If so then let me know. In my oppinion, this trailer looks like CGI.

03-25-2007, 08:42 AM
this is it and should answer all of your mini conspiricy theories. the footage in the trailer (all of it) is all not in game, however, it is used usuing the assassins creed engine. i know this because its the same thing that halo 3 is doing with there videos. while the trailer may be fake, most likley all the glitches see in the trailer, ai, facial expressions, gameplay etc. will be seen on the real game (except maybe that motion blur that might have been edited in or i could be wrong [which im not])

03-26-2007, 03:13 AM
http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/351.gif .. wait no im not.. if it wasnt in-game.. how was someone playin it in front of a crowd?

03-28-2007, 05:30 PM
people can make crowds out of CGI...

03-28-2007, 07:27 PM
He means infront of an audience...

-_- they weren't playing that trailer infront of an audience they were playing the x06 demo infront of an audience in a backroom at E3 and then a couple months later they showed it to the public at X06

03-29-2007, 05:29 PM
Oh... thanks. People were talkin about crowds in game and CGI. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/1072.gif
