Hi people. Is it just me or is it nigh impossible to outrun supposedly inferior planes(such as the Buffalo)in blatantly superior aircraft.Even in a Hayate they seem to gain on you.I think the PZL 11 is the worst offender though,it can catch a 109E but can u when u fly it?NO!
PS Wots the best range to set .50 cals convergence range? Love the Mustang but am still getting used to not having BANG BANG cannons!Help much appreciated! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The best convergence settings? I use 150m all the time. You'll have to come in pretty close but, you'll be more sure of some hits with this range. It works for me best.

And about the the matter of rocket boost. Much depends on the situation of both planes. If the P-11 is 500m above you and dives on you, it can reach speeds of 550km/h or more easily. You can't really beat that whit any aicraft, flying level. (except Bi-1 and me-262) It all depends really on the situation. Certainly, if you dive your 109E from 500m above on a P-11, you get the speed advantage.

Have I helped you a bit? If not, ask again. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Happy flying.

but let's face it, the AI planes got stuff we don't have sometimes, the original IL2 was the worst, you would turn just a little and fall out of the sky while any plane could catch you and be on your tail, much better now. and then sometimes a plane will just let you shoot at it. Like I said though, much better now. I guess on line is the way to dogfight.

You forget about all Anton models of the Fw-190 that could exceed 550 kph IRL easily http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Russian aircraft require skill to fly.
German aircraft require ten times that skill, and one hundred times the patience!

I originally wrote 600 km/h but, I didn't think the P-11 could achieve that speed when it is falling 500m so, I changed 600 to 550 km/h and left the rest of the text http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
