So with all this speculation going on about where AC3 could possibly take place I've seen many people shoot down revolutionary America as a setting because of guns/architecture or what have you. I just wanted to ask anyone who's seen "Gangs of New york" if I was alone in, or crazy for, thinking that early 19th century maybe late 18th century America(Specifically the east coast) would be a good fit for the series. The architecture wouldn't detract from the free-running at all as there were plenty of varied buildings to climb. Guns werent readily available to just anyone except military personnel and the wealthy. I'm sure whatever direction Ubisoft decides to take it will blow this idea out of the water just though I'd throw it out there.

lol yeah I just saw all these ideas being tossed around and shot down. Based off of reasons others have shot some of these ideas down, I thought this one might hold some water. I'm fairly certain anyone whos seen the movie would agree with me, but I could be wrong. The political turmoil, social distress, the civil war going on.....the time period and setting seems a natural fit.
