Either release a final patch or dont give us anything,"thats what i would say" of this. Why you ask? Because i aint a beta tester and i dont feel like being one. Look, So far all i see is a half a$$ beta and people crying about stuff they dont even have to wrry about because this is a beta that oleg released for people to fly and give info on. And i still have yet to see anyone post a topic regarding FMs with any detail what so ever. If they do not receive any, will they not correct this beta patch and leave it as is or put it up as a final patch??

Untill then, i no longer care or feel like being part of this "open beta", i dont feel any reason for doing so. Why are we flying it if were not giving any info on certain aspects of this game which need to be fixed? I mean, all i see is "Dam this patch sux" or "My P47 has a messed up FM still".
Ive flown with this "Open Beta" and im not happy with it. But i also dont have anything to prove any points so their for i am done with beta testing right?

People of the il2 sim community! This is an open beta, we dont have to participate!!!
Nor do we have to keep flying with it.

So untill i see a final release. I am going back to the regular FB game. If you care to join me, send me a page so we can arrange some multiplayer games.

Even though i really don't agree with what you say i think that seeing as UBI are classing it as an "open beta" people should have the option of flying online without it. - however this doesn't really bother me as i have the patch , am satisified with it and can play online with it (now that i've changed the registry entry the IL2FB:-DOGFIGHT from IL2FB:-DFIGHT)

edit - o yeah - a colon and a capital D makes a laughing smiley - i'll add a "-" to the registry names /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

What exactly is so bad?

Now that I can play smoothly online,I don`t really care about anything else.Do sound problems or other things make this game unplayable for me?Heck no!

All those whiners that can`t present any proof.Just ignore`em.There are few who can prove their point. If an open beta let those few get into testing it was certainly worth releasing it.

You`ll have to wait some time for the final one though.

I`m enjoying the game every minute I play.Have a nice time waiting.

I suppose the fairest thing would have been the choice to participate in the open beta or not.

With UBI.com (I know I know there is HL but it's not everyones taste) making the patch mandatory that choice is taken away.

A little more work to allow pre-patched games to be hosted there would have been good (along with the correct registry settings!).

Personally I don't mind. Having a hard time adapting to the FM changes as I don't get a lot of flight time. But pleased with the changes in general.

Biggest worry for me as that the next/final patch will change the FM's again. For me the learning curve is steep and it will take me months to catch up!

Though I have no wish to sound like a whiner, I was slightly disappointed at getting a Beta-Test patch after v.08. It would be nice to have something that was officially final. Looks like the best testers are us! Still I`m happy with it and with luck the bugs will be properly corrected this way.

Flippin whiners! Skip the beta and FB altogether...go back to EAW, Janes WW2, BOB...they all have official final release patches. What do you expect for a $40 game and a beta free patch (which are both top notch in my opinion).....flippin whiners!

Let's see, the open beta fixes online play - much better, and fixes campaigns offline.

Why would you want to go back to 1.0 then?

Perhaps those who are complaining about being given a "non-final" patch would be happier if the accompanying readme file had said something along the lines of, "If you notice any omissions or inaccuracies, you can stick 'em, because this is a final patch, and we're not making any more changes. Be sure!" Oleg should consider including this in future patch releases, in my opinion. It seems to be what the people want.
