View Full Version : Suggestion for Quick Mission Builder

I find that I often only have time to play FB for short periods and usually just start up a quick mission. However, it would be nice if they could expand the number of maps that I can select from (instead of just 3) as well as increase the number of plans you can have fly in the mission. For example, with the B-17 joining the game soon I would really like to recreate the 8th force with 200 or 300 B-17s vs. a small german fighter force. I have a top of the line computer so I should be able to play it with no problems. Limiting us to just 16 opposing planes and only 3 maps seems silly given how much more the game has to offer. I know I can probably create it in the full mission builder but I just want to have more flexiability in the quick mission menu. It would seem to be very easy to change.

One other question, does anyone know whether any of the planes they have ready will be included in the patch? I really want to try out the Me-163. Here is a great link to page filled with Me-163 info.

Thanks and I enjoy reading this message board.

Quick mission builder doesn't create new missions, it selects pre-written missions based on your menu selections. Writing several hundred new mission scenarios to fit the options you've asked for on every new map would take more time than the game developers can afford to spend with the other projects they already have in the works.

I don't believe any system could run 200-300 planes.

I've seen a mission where someone tried, online at that. A couple of hundred Ju88's, He-111's with escorts and intercepts. Major slide show, but it was on my old machine and the original IL2.

There are 10 kinds of people in this world: those who can count in binary, and those who can't.

one usually only has enough ammo to take out 3-4 aircraft anyway.
