View Full Version : Where the heck are the 1946 missions?!!?

Where are the custom missions for the 1946 planes? I've looked around, and found a few... but most still use the 'standard' planes. I was really hoping for more 'wild combination' missions... and I know about the QMB and such. I just suck at making my own. We use the quick mission generators, but they are not the same... there's something about the creativity of a real person making the mission.

Places like mission4today and netwings have one or two...?

People generally prefer making historical missions.

You will find 1000's of mission sat the places you listed, try looking through those.

On Mission4today:

Green HEarts 46 (http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=2205) (Ta-183)

Lerche 46 (http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=2373)

Those are the only two campaigns that I know of. I've seen a couple of single missions as well. Just search for the plane you want to fly, and maybe someone has something for ya.

Also, the 1946 campaigns that come with the game are pretty cool. You should be able to get some enjoyment out of those as well.

Burning Streak is a pretty good campaign that comes with 1946. Its relatively short...starts off with a FW190 and then you jump ahead and start flying some really exotic types. Good fiction too. I based the Green Hearts '46 campaign off the basics of that campaign. I just felt the need for some more Ta-183 missions http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Icefire made a great USAAF 46 campaign a couple of years ago, where you fly the P-80 over the Ardennes map. Enemies include the Go229, He162, Me262 variants, and late war piston fighters. It is named Shooting Stars.

Find it over at Flying Legends.

I should probably do a 2.0 version of that sometime with all of the new stuff! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
