Anyone have any experience with this monitor especially in regards to input lag? I've ordered one and know there are input lag issues but not sure how it effects playing IL-2.

I've heard nothing but good things about this monitor, never heard of anyone having input lag, even those who play high speed first person shooters.

If its anything like my 2407 it will be absolutely brilliant, can't think of a bad word to say about these Dell monitors; IQ on IL2 is excellent, though I generally play with v sync on to stop tearing - but that's with all games and only very slight, probably a common thing with wide screen panel monitors. Handy usb hub and card readers built in too, I doubt very much that you'll regret buying it, enjoy http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

If it has problems send it back and get a firm ware update. Dell are ok with that AFAIK. I've not heard of input lag with that screen. The 2407 early models had colour banding issues but if you have any questions regarding the 2408 the best place to ask them is here: http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

Thanks for the input guys. I just received the monitor this morning and it was quick and easy to setup.

So far I can see no issues with input lag.

I configured the ini to run the game at 1920x1200. It looks great but the dots take much longer to appear than they did with my CRT at lower res. I may have to find a better res for dot spotting. Any ideas?

The fps are strong enough with my 7900GTX, but seems to be struggling with micro stutters when looking out at the trees going by at low level. I've been wanting to upgrade my gpu for sometime and finally the ATI 4870x2 or nVidia 280 look to be a decent upgrade over the 7900GTX especially at high resolutions.

I'm interested in this thread, as i'm thinking about getting a dell, either 27" or maybe 30" http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

Chivas, i kind of stetching here, but i'm sure i've read in either this or another forum, that people have found changing there gamma settings have helped, more than that i don't know. I am sure however that i have read something somewhere to this effect.

Sorry not to be more help,
