i think the SH3 dev team should send out a proper release date. because some sites now say that its coming out on the 3rd of januaury 2005. its giving me and other people false hopes. someone should set them straight. i hate to complain, but its getting beyoned the joke http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

There is exactly ONE official source for SHIII's release date: the official SHIII website.

Not your aunt, her brother's friend's ex-wife, some online store or the cool dude at your local game store.

Zamo999, what some sites say is completely irrelevant.

*sigh*

As I said in that other thread, look for SH3 around Feb 2005. Ignore everyone else. Listen to me. I'm starting to sound like some sort of brainwashing cult now http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Zamo999,

The dev team has all good intention of giving us an excellent product. Patience is a virtue!. Everything takes time. With all the very hard work that the dev team, the wonderful people of this forum & the DE forum and everyone has done to help make SHIII the best naval sim ever, we can expect an excellent product. Take a moment and understand that it takes alot and I mean ALOT of time to code all these features and details into a simulation. Remember if SHIII is a success then we will have another DC. With that in mind the coding would have to already be there for a DC to be possible. In other words there is alot of "behind the scenes" things that have to be done to make SHIII a success. They still have to test test and test. There is alot of research that has to be done to make SHIII accurate. The goal is simple- to make SHIII as real to life as possible as so the player would be completely immersed into the sim as to give a feeling of actually being there.

No one needs to be pressured. I believe the dev team is doing an excellent job as well as all of us in this forum helping support our dev team 100% with all our views to help make SHIII the best. A great sim is what we want. A great sim is what we shall get. Takes time for all our ideas to become a reality.

Im happy there is this forum. It passes the time and thats how I pass the time. Alot of great people here. Funny topics at times. Lets all just be positive on the release date what ever it shall be. If the dev team has to have more time I'm all for it. Its only for the best.

<span class="ev_code_YELLOW">Remember, the reason its taking longer is actually our fault. We wanted a dynamic campaign and the dev team is now coding for that. To research historical convoy traffic dates, code & test takes alot of time. </span>
