Hi everyone http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Do any of you have by any chance photos of the Royal Mews next to Buckingham Palace ? Here is a
Google Earth screen to show what sides Im interested in, the rest could be found on flickr/elsewhere.

Im a bit stuck withouth these, so if anyone photograped these areas please help me out.
I have some questions about the Buckingham P. itself too, but will ask that later when the Mews is done. Thanks http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Hi again,

What views do you require?

Internal views are difficult because of security.

Please be more specific.

Best Regards,
MB_Avro.

Hello http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Check the link/screenshot in the first post, I marked with red the needed wall parts on the Mews. External shots only.

[Edited] Jutocsa, I have some links that I have been meaning to send you. Does your old e-mail adress work? Otherwise where should I send them? You can PM me if you like with the adress.

A nice panorama picture:

Hello setback http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Thanks for the links, unfortunately like I wrote I went through all what flickr could offer, and I already have these, just miss that three spots. I also found that grey large building you did, named Royal Mews too...but thats definitely not the Mews next to Buckingham P http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif It fooled me today for a long time though http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Is it possible to ask the British government for help in this? Security might be tight at the moment, but one link to this site and contact with Oleg is proof that it's for a game.

maybe u have already thought of this, but u can try google maps.
Go to google, click on maps, then choose satellite ontop of the map and drag across the atlantic till u get to the UK. The only thing that sucks is that it will be a view from above but still might help a little. Ur gona have to get someone to tell u about where to look though.
Google has this very cool new feature where u can pan down, and view 360 soo it looks like ur actually infront of a building (a thing like they did in that movie Deja Vu), but this feature is only available in some of United States major cities I believe.

Sites regarding tours of London seem to have good pics.

It looks like there may be some sort of 3D model here of the Palace and surroundings, but I don't know if it can be viewed or downloaded.

EDIT:Ok I see, you just have to click on the option to open in google Earth. But it's such a basic model it won't be any use , I think.
I can't get a perspective view either (from side).

Also:
There are photos of the back of the Palace taken from the Palace garden. These can be opened form inside Google earth (click on the camera icon), so someone has had access to the garden (where your photos should be taked from). Though I image it's not easy to get into the garden (party invites only I expect).

(Edit: It looks like the Palace itself, not the Mews]

I don't know what part of the Buckingham Palace garden (if that's where it's from) this is, but maybe it's looking toward the Mews?

The caption say 'Buckingham Palace: from south garden'

There must be someone at Bucking Palace responsible for tourism and visitors etc. Maybe you could contact them. There are often meetings, parties, and ceremonies at the Palace , and lots of people do go there , so it's not impossibe to get pictures (I believe).

Just guessing. This maybe, it's from the gardens[Edit: these are Kensington gardens]:

Check out Microsofts http://local.live.com

You can view the building from all four angles. This covers most of london and other cities.

You've finished with all the rest of SE England and worry about two sides of the Royal Mews we'll never see? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif Why are they that important? Will they be featured in a campaign cinematic or something?

Hey! Its not us doing the modelling. Its this sort of attention to detail which will help to make BoB an all time great flight sim. The more support that the users can give at this stage the better the end product is likely to be. If you dont want to help then I guess thats fine too.

I didn't want to sound disrespectful. You are pretty new, so you don't know the kind of work I've done for this community and probably will do for BoB too. It's just that the specific detail seems extravagant, unless some German tries to park its Dornier (ouch) in the mews. I am genuinely interested in the importance of the specific place.

I think the developers are just trying to put as much detail as they can into the various props of the game so that it can be the benchmark to which all future flight sims will be judged by. I mean really, can you think of any other reason why they would want referance pictures of stonehenge from that period specifically, or why they would have Foo.Bar go into such detail making numerous models of period trains and train cars when they could just make a single set for both sides like they did with IL-2? I think these guys are trying to make more than just a sequel, I think they're trying to make a sim that will be remembered for a long, long time. (feel free to call me a nutter though.)
