They are taking full prepayment (not just deposit)for a game that wont be released for at least another year. They had release date of Oct 06 which instantly and without explanation switched to Feb 07 and will no doubt instantly and without explanation switch to Nov07....It was the exact same with PF on the Amazon site

I can wait for the second week of 2010. Gives me more time to upgrade my computer. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

Play.com will earn a tidy ammount of intrest on your money before BoB comes out http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Play.com DO NOT take payment until the order is dispatched. They make no intrest.

PLAY.COM is a good place to buy/pre-order.

Yes, they only process the order once it ships. IIRC they'll process at the original ordering price if its lower, or the actual price if it has been lowered (not differing from Amazon.com etc I believe).

They are located on Jersey and ship for free (at least to the Netherlands).

Sometimes you'll get your games before they hit the local shops, but sometimes you'll have to wait the time it takes for the mail to arrive (3-10 days).

Prices are good, after initial release they'll often drop in price by 25-33%.

You pre-order people crack me up. Every time people pre-oder a game but are always late to join the rest of us that run to EB or Walmart the day it ships.

Pre-orders in general are shipped out a day before they go on the shelves. This is not enough time to actuall have you game before the rest of us. I can see HL now with people saying...daaamn Im still waiting on my game! This soooo BS. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

The fact that they are cheaper than the local stores makes up for those couple of days waiting, and 1-3 times it arrives at the same time it hits the dutch stores anyway.

Have been gown up for some time now, I can wait a couple of days (which is kind of ironic when pre-ordering, but I am also very lazy... which explains that part of the deal).

Its only fair to admit that I didnt know that Play.com DONT take your money until the item ships....I meant that all companies who accept preorders on games they know (?) wont be out on release date.Do Amazon take the money?
I use Play.com a lot and have always found them good...free shipping to EU is a treat nowadays!

Living in a rural area & the price of fuel here in the U.K it makes sense to order online.

I also didn't realise that getting a game a day or so after it's release date made me less of a person.
