I couldn't wait for IL2 to get on to some interesting early carrier-borne jet fighters, so I built one myself:

If any of you are into modding this stuff I've posted the gmax file up at DPSflight.com and you're more than welcome to improve it if you like.

You just never run out of time or planes, do you? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif Nice work, any ETA on final?

I really want to crack the gear/landing hook visual model animation problem before I do any more on this one.

I got some help with the fuselage, wings modelling. I also know a couple of folk who can use Paint Shop Pro (anything arty is beyond me) but no results as yet from them.

The Attacker model is sooo much easier to land than the IL2 Seafire.

Did the stabilizer manufacturer get the wrong scale when they built it. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Looking at other aircraft from the same factory small surfaces were the norm.

Supermarine didn't produce much after the Attacker. I think the Scimitar fighter was their last effort.
