View Full Version : All planes too good?

Ok, I've only played the game for 1-2 hours.
I had to borrow my girlfriend monitor because min is dead http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Mostly I tried American planes.

And, the impression I got from the planes I had time to try out is that they all were really good, the Wildcat was faster and way more agile than I had expected, the Corsair and Hellcat seems to be real über rides.. the B-25 (rolling really fast) and A-20 is faster and more agile than some of the fighters!

All the planes I tried out felt more or less the same... really really good. Except for the Ki-61 Ki, which was not all that good...

Don't take me for a IJx-whiner, because I'm not. I will probably fly the B-25 and A-20 most of the time.. but I have to admit that they felt way more agile and fighterlike than expected.

I'm reluctant to say anything on the Hellcat and Corsair before I've had a fly of them. They were very powerful designs and I think we all might be a bit amazed by them- OM commented that even he was surprised by how good the performance figures were on these planes when they received them from Us archives.

On the Wildcat, what have you been flying against? If you are out-turning zeros at low speeds something is obviously wrong. I also think the plane has a bit of a bad rep just because it could not fight Zeros and Oscars in the classic turning dogfight manner.

Ki-61 is due for a fix at the moment- it should perofrm better- check out the bug thread in ORR.

I also reserve comment on the B-25 and Havoc, although neither were lumbering aircraft from what I've read.
