View Full Version : How to hypnotize flight-simmers.

Hey all.

The recent talk here about flying under bridges and stuff inspired me to finish creating a mission I started soon after Pacific Fighters came out.

It's 2000 open-ended hangars joined together in a line on the Coral Sea. I thought some of you might be interested in trying it out. I'm guessing you'll all get through it, but it is a bit of a patience tester, and it can have something of a hypnotic effect http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Here's a link (it's just a little 33kb file) -

Make one that turns and goes over hills.

Now those are hard.

Actually, I did something like that once -

Not using hangars, as they don't work well on hills, but if you try to stay beneath the tops of the chimneys it's kinda the same. Pity the nice bit of low-lying cloud that covered the second-last turn got wiped out by updated versions of the game, was a bit of a feature...

Les's test circuit I have only managed to finish once, barely.
It is gut wrenching, nauseating, brutal & cruel.
I fly this when I want to be reminded how poor a pilot I am.
I do miss the scud clouds. It made the trip that much more interesting.

Guess I know what I am doing tonight. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif I don't know whether to laugh or apologize.

That's only the second bit of feedback I've ever had about that track. I really had no idea it could be so demoralizing.

I don't think a person's performance on the track is a good indicator of whether or not they're a poor pilot though. It's just a trick-circuit, a roller-coaster ride, a bit of fun, even if it is...er, um, well... gut-wrenching, nauseating, brutal and cruel.
