Hi all,

Just wondering what the best voice comms to use are in MP and where to get them. I've tried Roger Wilco but the sound quality is sometimes iffy.

Also, what about the games built-in comms, any good?

Team Speak has better sound quality than Roger Wilco, but Ventrilo has by far the best quality.

I don't use either TS or RW because of the lower quality.. if someone is over modulating slightly it comes over realy muffled and you cannot understand a word they are saying. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

However TS does offer a few more features, and the latest server version is free.
If you want to have more than 8 people on a ventrilo server you either have to pay for it, or use an earlier version http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.
The earlier versions are basicaly the same... with 1 or 2 useless features removed.

If you're never going to have more than 8 people or you've got enough money to pay for an official server, go with Ventrilo. It has easily the best sound quality of any I've tried. Otherwise, Teamspeak is very popular and is provided by some of the online servers for the use of all flying in that server.

Personally I have both as otherwise I find that I'm sometimes flying with people who don't have the one I've chosen. The client versions of both are free downloads (for non-commercial use).

Couldn't agree more, Tully!

I also prefer Ventrilo because of the better sounds quality, but TS is still the more common tool.
