View Full Version : OT how could have lordi with hard rock aleluya have won eurovision by record

06-13-2006, 08:40 AM
im having reality doubts since this new came out, im beggining to ponder that society has been revolutioned by a disapearance of the magnetic field allowing the radiating knowledge from the sun to iluminate people and make them able to fly see the future of their decisions,... something like supermans story

im in my imagination being told by subliminal messages like lordi winning eurovision by record

what i cant figure out is why everybody would be faking around me

can anyone plz put some sanity back to my life and tell me why the hell did lordi won eurovision by record or what is going on in the world that i dont know about?

06-13-2006, 08:53 AM
Psst, dude, pass it.

Because the music was cool.

Mystery Debunked.

all i know is that nothing has been right since David Lee Roth left Van Halen

i liked afrodita from dana international and it was probably also to pis off the radical jewish
but hard rock aleluya being cool, come on i cant have lost mi taste so much, it even ashames me listen it outloud so it must be the lyrics why people voted it, in england it got the 12 maximum points

my question remains what did people in england who voted this song know that i dont know

walls will come down like thunder, lighting down the prophets of false the true believers thou shall be saved..

not even abba won by record and dont tell me this song is better than abbas

i live happily in my fantasy world where none suffers and most things are faked but is good as long as i know is a phantasy but im afraid to believe too much my fantasies

and i cant give a damn rational answer of lordi having won by record when not even abba did

i just cant think imposible answers not a single sane answer, thats my problem i search an answer for everything

raaaid, not everything in the world has a rational answer. In my opinion most of the music in the Eurovision is bad maybe people voted for political or other reeasons than music.

Lordi sucks. Bosnia should have won. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/heart.gif

In a contest that most people watch to make fun of the complete thing and even most actors send there do, what do you expect? Could have told ya the moment I heared they'll go there.

If the contest needed any further sign it isn't taken for serious anymore, this vote was definitely it.

06-13-2006, 10:22 AM

some songs are really cool

06-13-2006, 10:31 AM
Why do you care who won?

They liked it, you didn't.

raaaaid, don't over complicate things which don't require it. Remember occam's razor.

The music and band were different, individual. The music was strange and cool.

The people liked it.

Its great that Lordi won, because it will hopefully usher in a new era for Eurovision when the songs entered are something different from the norm.

Lordi winning was exactly what the competition needed. It had become a joke for its terrible music and lack of interesting music. Most countries entered lame ballads.

Not sure about other countries, but Eurovision is not taken at all seriously in England, they even employ a presenter (Terry Wogan) who constantly takes the p*ss out of the whole event, the whole country laughs along with it.

Now hopefully we will see a new side to Eurovision, with interesting songs which push the boundaries a bit. The fact that the song was terrible matters not one bit, it was exactly what the competition required to givce a kick up the a*s too an old stale contest. Any coutries voting high points for Lordi, good on them and good on the FInns for being farsighted enough to enter this track. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Uhm what the hell is he talking about anyway???

I'm beginning to piece this together. Evidently, Eurovision had a song contest. Each country entered a song and the one that won, Lordi, entered by Finland, sucked, in the poster's estimation.

Other Euros agree but apparentley don't seem as upset as he is. The Brits seem to agree that Eurovision sucks anyway.

Gee, I miss so much living in America. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sadeyes.gif

One of your major networks has bought the rights, Breeze...I'm truly sorry for the American viewing public.

What I cant understand about Eurovision is why the UK always chooses some **** to enter when it is famous world over for having great pop rock artists?

I have never heard of the stuff thats entered yet they have such great bands like Oasis, Feeder, Doves, , Leftfield, Swag, Orbital, and so on.

Also great pop artisits with much better songs than the **** thats entered.

Is it just the fact that these artisits will not enter their stuff in the contest because its such an embarrassing contest or what? Anyone know?

The UK regards Eurovision as a joke. Most British bands wouldn't want to be seen dead on that stage let alone play.

I have been facinated with eurovision since I found out that Lordi won, and saw the promo video.
For folks in the US if you like GWAR, then it is pretty likely your gonna also like Lordi. I think
Lordi won because though their preformance was a bit wooden, they still didn't suck as bad as most of the other *acts*, and for a few moments ( about 3 minutes ) Eurovision had a big set of cast iron Nutz. 8^).. I gotta say I liked Lordi, for their flaunting of every cheezy mid 80s' heavy metal stereotype available. 8^) As for contenders, Tina Karol would have had my vote just for being so gosh darn cute. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
The rest of was all pretty much really really bad pop trash nastyness, like watching a trainwreck, you know its bad but you just have to see how it ends. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

in the end I am glad Lordi won, as they Pwned the show http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/metal.gif <-- ok I was just dying to use this one!

Raaids post makes perfect sense if you understand Eurovision and have seen some vids of Lodi http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
Raaid, perhaps it has more to do with chaos theory and can make sense that way?

I thought Norway's offering was very...talented. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/halo.gif

Lordi are like a cartoon caricature joke version of slipknot! I think everyone should just roll a fat one and listen to Miles Davis instead http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
Take note Raaaid and relax man http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif
Don't let the man get to you

the russian entry seemed . . . . . . . . in love with himself

after viewing the lordi entry - can latex masks really stoopify people into thinking their song was cool ?

2005 had some actual talent , seems the highlight of 2006 was Icelands Syliva Night - shes a freak

06-14-2006, 06:24 AM
Lordi's music sounds very tame and mainstream to me. I expected much harder stuff after reading about them in the press articles. It isn't borderline Satanic rock- it is borderline softdrink commercial music. Of course it is better music than the usual dreck one encounters on television.

I don't know why Finland won, but I know why Spain did such an ashaming failure.

The Spanish song and performance were... er... like catching your b*lls when closing a drawer.

06-14-2006, 06:53 AM
Wow, people still watch TV?

Passing fad, as far as I'm concerned.

Gave it up years ago http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
