is the soundfile of the reargunner "Maneuver_immediately_Enemy_on_our_tail.wav" ever used in code ?
i know friendly wingman adwise you when enemy is on your tail but the reargunner does not at all , only thing reargunner calls out is destroyed targets and yelling at you when you pull some hary maneuver....

since his live it at stakes, why are many recorded samples for the reargunner NOT used at all ?

this would make the sim much more immersive.

In 1.11 I found out that the warnings (which were there in IL-2 classic) will come back as soon you have activated the pilot's or gunner's autopilot at least for a moment. Strange but true.

Is that still the case in 1.21?

What about Tower messages? There`s one where Tower says it`s `safe to take off` (would be useful) and `no enemy in your area`.

Why are these not included in game?

These would definitely be useful in campaign play not to mention in online play.

Part of the reason to take an IL2 or Stuka is that (usually) reliable rear gunner. Now if he would only talk to me!

The biggest problem I've had is with the maverick_under_attack.wav that my IL2 pilot keeps saying when a bandit is closing on my 6.

All it says is "I'm going to pop the speed brake and he'll fly right by" "I'm going to pop the speed brake and he'll fly right by""I'm going to pop the speed brake and he'll fly right by"

What the heck is that all about?

yes , the tower message "you are ready to go sir" would come in very handy and would substitute the lack of groundcrew...

maybe something is coming in the addon , who knows... (oleg? /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif )

YES!

Thank you for mentioning this! This is something I always notice, but forget to mention.

The first clue you have that an enemy is nearby is your tailgunner firing...by then it's often too late to maneuver.

Very unrealiable today.
Sonar messed up signs like these. In Full real you'd probably never reach your target on endless maneuvring /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif .
