I expect some bright boy (or girl) to get this one, rapidly.

Away for a few days. Likely back on Sunday. Will reveal all then.

Ciao!

That is a partial mock-up of a Japanese ATAGO class heavy cruiser. The errors suggest it was built in wartime by one of the Allies. Purpose? Got me.

It's on one of those salt lake flats like Groom Lake, argh, can't remember why they built it though.

Hang on, now I can. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

It's a 650-foot replica of a Japanese Navy heavy cruiser, dubbed "Muroc-Maru." It was used for strafing, identification and skip bombing practices before being removed in 1950.

It sits on Rogers Dry Lake, now home to the Dryden flight research centre.

Here's Leit's Atago class:

Sort of like the distraction mounted beneath that Spitfire. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

It's incredible what people can do with time and a box of matches... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Dux, with a box of matches, you could have a great time with that thing.
