I got Osprey's Fw190 Aces of the Western Front and I was surprised how short the book was.

Good presentation, very nice inside color pages with profiles and nice photos in general, but the book itself was more like a compilation of articles.

Despite all the above, I may give them a try, tell us if these ones are any good.

That's the way they are intended to be. Short histories with lots of photos and great color plates. I've been collecting the series and basically the only ones I'm missing are on WWI topics and post-Korean War topics. I'm getting the new releases as they come out. I recommend all of them!

Just bought one the other day: "Romanian Aces of WWII", and I found it very interesting.

I have more than 60 now. I love them. But when I came to live in Cadiz, I had to leave them all in my parents' home in Santander. Someday I'll rescue them. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

those books look really cool - i've flicked through them many a time in my local bookstore-- just a shame they're about ‚£20 a throw - i realy can't afford that sort of money to buy the amount of them that they're is /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif
