Im sure this would have been mentioned before, but how hard would it to model bullets bouncing off tanks.
Documentries about the P-47 etc, always show spectacular shots of tracer bullets flying off in all direction when straffing tanks, armoured targets etc.

Just a wish.. after all FB does have some great gun effects already !

Good way to know your not making a dent too http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

They kind of already have this effect modeled when you hit the Il2's with rifle calibre bullets. Some kind of visual effect of bouncing bullets off armor.

Bullets don't just bounce off of armor but they also bounce off of the ground too. Bullets will bounce off of just about anything. Even the slightest thing can cause a bullet to change its path. When I was in the Army I once fired am M-240 Machinegun into a swarm of bugs in the air and you should have seen the tracer bullets disperse and spread out!!!!!They were flying all over the place and not straight at all!!!!!

Sometime to the effect of the ricochet in Gunship! would be cool, but maybe with the number of ricochets determined by obliquity, instead of random.
