Dou you guys think the enemy gunners are too accurate, or does it seem about right? I seem to get a lot of smoking engines after what seems is one or two hits.Yesterday my P-40 was shot up from inside a cloud. Good shootn'boyz

The P-40 now has a real glass jaw for frontal aspect shots. Even a couple of 7.62s in the nose can take the engine down since about 1.1f - first I remember encountering that new "feature" at least.

Gunners seem less accurate than they were previously, but still perhaps a little too good. If they could be made to fire in swirling arcs like ground based 20mm flak does now I think it'd look and play a lot better.

The cure-all for enemy gunner accuracy is, as always, not to attack bombers from the rear aspect. Dive below them so you can nose up and attack them in the belly, attack head on, swoop down from above at high speed, but don't sit there hanging relatively motionless in space behind them. High relative speeds and angle based approaches are the key to taking them down.

Dude, the gunners are like freakin' Cajun duck hunters! They are in the fusalage, facing backwards with a mirror and their gun over their shoulder, doing trick shots at me with a 90 degree deflection and smoking me half the time.

It has always seemed to me that the gunners were too good.

The gunners may act in manners that seem unrealistic and artificial, but they are certainly no more effective than human gunners (players, not IRL).

Human gunners are capable of dispensing with you far quicker than even ace AI. You haven't known fear until you've faced a formation of human flown He-111s...

I haven't flown on line yet. Getting a DSL to my machine is an upcoming proect so in the meantime its QMB and single missions. I do want to try it, even though I know I'm gonna get HAMMERED, and i't seems people around here get kinda angry with each other sometimes, I bet it's a blast. So I guess you can be a gunner on line if you want? That might be fun

my trick for killing bombers is to fly towards the target from side on and fire at its wings and fuselage. from above abit helps too. This way your shots will be close to engines and stuff, maybe even take the wing off. On the He 111 an attack from above and in front across the wings may even take out the cockpit crew
