It was a castle untill someone filled the moat and then it became a submarine with a lid on and delightful little bridge providing access. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/halo.gif

I wonder how the damage model will be with these types of buildings, I hope we get to see slow collapses, with towers falling down and then crumbling when they hit the ground. Or maybe taking out only half of building with it on fire and the other half is still in pretty good tact. Maybe being able to knock the top part of the tower off, that would be way cool.

If you want to see your computer disappear in a cloud of smoke, buy a Dell or Apple laptop---insist on a Sony battery.

That for sure is Deal castle. Its just up the coast from Dover. There's another similar castle a couple of miles away called Walmer castle as well, which was Wellingtons old pad.

By the way its a tudor rose http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif

I don't think it is only textures, that would apply to boxy structures.. Look at all those curved surfaces, and each wall has a 'lip'. That's a lot of polys, even if the ramparts are done with transparency. I can almost guarantee you this isn't in-game geometry, or even rendered with the in-game engine.

Stairs and lifting machinery, mainly. Those spars running along the top were originally pedestrian walkways - not sure if they're still in use. Perhaps some kind native of London Town could enlighten us?

The walkway was closed ages ago due to ******s or something. But they have reopened it now so you can still go up there, it's part of the tour thing they have there, you can also see the old steam powered hydraulic rams, control room and so on that work it all.

******s?...buttsecks on the bridgetops?!?...

those wacky Londoners...they'll do anyone...errmmm thing for a lark.

I heard those were dentists offices in the towers -the only ones in Blighty mind you, but as was said...they were closed ages ago due to lack of interest.
