...and you know what that means!

I wonder how much of a difference the new flight model is really going to make? Will us armchair (computer chair) pilots really have to learn how to fly again? I can't wait to find out.

Sorry http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif This is really a pointless post, but I am just a little excited!

I have even been pricing up an AMD 64 upgrade to give me the best performance for the new FM.

New FM will no doubt be fun.

I am really looking forward to seeing the excellent Mossie and Tempest Models in the game. I was a bit dissapointed to read the banter / hype on simHQ that they may not be in the patch or not as flyable. But who knows for sure?

Im looking forward to the new FM. I really would like to see how the high altitude model is affected as well as inertia.

Very much looking forward to learning the Jug, FW190's, P38 all over again....Once I've put the Tempest down in 2006http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif.

I really don`t think the FMs will be that difficult. I`ll be surprised if most of us who are regular flyers will have much difficulty taking off and landing as long as we take care.

I think the real shock will be when we start pushing the envelope with our aeroplanes. I do imagine I may be stalling more often than usual.

But with patience I reckon we`ll become accustomed to it.

The question is how many new and indignant complaints will we get about `impossible to fly` fms and planes that stall to easily? I bet the complaints are waiting to happen, especially from those who want to be instant aces.

I'm looking forward to see long faces of all those who expect the P-38 to become competitive http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I think the level of whining will be on an entirely new level for a while. I think I'll probably ignore these forums for a while if that happens...

If the P38 becomes competitive as a single fighter flying (solo) against other enemy fighters then something will be wrong. It certainly won`t be realistic.

P38Late has two 1700hp engines. It is competitive vs fighters wether you like it or not.

Seafire, You mean as competative as a Zero flying solo against a flight of P-38s?

SeaFireLIV

Actually, I wasn`t talking about the new P38. I`ll have to check how that one performed.

how many of have realy learned too fly?all this crying for the patch and most cant fly this game as is profient as it is.not too mention i bet most have never tried flying all the planes available.im guillty on both charges,so i feel that most like me are still getting there moneys worth from fb/aep/pf.now theres not many games if any that can that can provide this kind off support ie add ons and patches.ill enjoy this game for along time if theres never a patch.and this **** of insulting players as newbs will just in the long run make the game go away like many others from lack of intrest.

Knowing Oleg I'm sure it will be outstanding. I'm re-reading Geoff Wellum's Battle of Britain memoirs, First Light, to get myself in the right frame of mind.

I'm new here... what exactly DO we know about the patch, anything?

Just FM redone? Any new aircraft?

There are things we know, and things we know we don't know. That's to say there are known knowns, but also known unknowns.

and, of course, the things we don't know we don't know: the unknown unknowns....
One thing we do know: two weeks, be sure.

There are rumours everywhere, telling it will become the patch of patches or the end of Oleg's world. Pick some of the fallen fruits and decide yourself. For my taste, they were not entirely ripe yet...

I'll be happy as long as we get the... bah, never mind! Anything is better than nothing, better than this uncertainty.
