I'm not exactly sure what you are asking here but if you are wanting to know if there are models like the church and train in COJ1 available in COJ2. The answer is no.

If your question is can you export the models from COJ1 and import them into COJ2? The answer is not without violating the EULA so if you do it you cannot make those files available to the public without breaking the law.

Your best option is to learn how to use a modeling program and import the models you create. I would recommend Blender since it's free. Word is Techland may support it in the near future (Keep our fingers crossed http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif). If not 3DS Max is the way to go but its to costly for normal people.

Good news about the train model though is there is a member in the community (ACanto) that is working on a train model for COJ2 and I believe he is going to release it when he is done. You can check out his thread over at cojfans.com.

I think the same, he's asking about exporting from COJ1 to COJ2. As Grucho said, you can't create a map with not your models or without premission to use them.

i ve import some steam train in coj2
they work ingame
but i like the passengers cars from coj1
i ve try to import the steam train from coj 1 too..

thats work..
but no colision..

my question:
for permission to use this coj1 train in coj2..
who i do ask?

Hey guys. I allready converted the train long time ago, but as you can see in picture two the collision don't work.

Great job on the train. I'm assuming it's a new model since it doesn't look like the one Zancara exported from COJ1. I hope you can figure out how to animate it and make it drivable and release it. That would be awesome!


I'd like to ask how you were able to export the train and get it into COJ2 but Techland does not support models from earlier games being used in different games so I wont ask. I would however like to know how you were able to mix and match the different clothes, faces, etc. on different models like picture #3 shows. Any chance you could tell us how to do that?

Hey Croucho2.

It's a bit complicated to explain and right now is the problem that the files won't be published in the mapname.pak file. I'm working on that at the moment and will published version two of Gunsmoke in Zancara City - Part One as soon as I have solved that problem and my betatesters say OK. I have rewritten the map completely so it's faster and now have 10 missions, 5 extra missions and to secret mission. About 300 enemies and many more new stuff.

Thanks for the reply! I really love your map by the way! Can't wait for the next version.

I am aware of the problem with the changes in textures, etc. not being included with the .pak file and that as of now people would have to manually change them until a solution can be figured out. I am just wanting to figure out the process of how you were able to actually change the clothes, hats, etc.? I realize that you are very busy so please don't inconvenience yourself but if you ever get a chance to type up a quick little guide on how to do it I'd appreciate it.

I love the look of the two guys on the left in the last picture. They make some great looking villains.

I hope to someday be able to contribute to the community and make some maps but real life keeps me so busy I don't know how I ever will. Maybe I could offer up some voice acting if anybody needs some additional voices. I might be able to find the time to read and record a few lines of dialog if anyone thinks my voice might be worthy.

WOW! I sure am glad Sabata67 bumped this thread back up. I was not aware of the work Zancara had done with the Marisa meshes. I sure hope you are still modding Zancara and will release some of these amazing mods. If you could share any of your knowledge on how to do it that would be great!
