the game will start overwriting the old screens you've taken if you stop playing il2 (go back to windows) and then go back playing it and take screens.

you can unlimited screens without overwriting if you make them all in one il2 session.

Download IL2 Manager (think IL2 Stab works aswell) then you can take as many screenshots as your little heart desires.

IL2 & FB save screenshots in your game folder as

grab0000.tga
grab0001.tga
grab0002.tga
etc...

You can only take one screenshot using the paste into MSPaint method, but the when you press printscreen the game also saves the above files (starting with grab0000.tga each time you start the game).

You'll need a graphics program that reads .tga files to view the screenshots, or you can use irfanview or one of the other free utilities to convert to .jpg or several other formats.

Because the game overwrites each time you start it, you will need to rename any pics you want to keep, or move them to another folder before restarting the game.

I have watched post after post for many moons and watched what others say. Some comments are OK some are [??]

I have used Hyper Snap-DX for literally years !!!
http://www.hyperionics.com/

It is FREE if you don't mind a 'label' in the upper corner or buy it [reasonable] and the 'label' is gone.
It captures in JPG format. I will take a 'SNAPshot' as fast as you can punch a keyboard button. I have taken as many as 97 shots in one flight and not given it a thought....just kept flying and grabbing photos.
There are many settings which IMO can be intimidating until you get your act together, but used for just SNAPS it is so simple. Photo quality is supurb.
NOTE: you can also set it up to take a picture automatically every [??] seconds.

Additional features is that it will take 'portions' of the screen with an active setting that you can control WHAT and WHERE you want to 'capture'. ALL of the screen or an itsy-bitsy part.....Long and skinny or tall and fat...whatever you want. You size it...it grabs it.

Check it out....
