I am researching info on what I need to build a good quality gaming rig for future use. Are there any websites dedicated to the building of quality gaming rigs? I live in Western Australia so local info would be helpful, but on that note dont hold back any info will be good

Heya Krake, below are some of my general recommendations for anyone building new right now. It offers screaming fast performance for today's apps and nice upgradability being quad-processor compatible and SLI capable.

Processor: Intel Core2duo
Motherboard: evga 680i
RAM: Corsair pc8500 (though I use standard pc6400)
Video Card: Nvidia 8800 series
Sound Card: Creative Xfi
Power supply: 700w+ (OCZ or PC Power & Cooling)

Start here: http://www.newegg.com and do some reading and research.

Hope this helps a bit.

Hi dasreich,

www.tomshardware.com (http://www.tomshardware.com) has lots of great in-depth articles and hardware reviews.

And like Thunderbolt said, newegg is a great site. I always buy my hardware there.
