Well if it isn't Microsoft Train Simulator II... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Wow! If this is indicative of what to expect, then I'll buy it. I just hope they don't develop it as a game that requires a computer that does not even exist at time of game release. I bought Microsoft Train Simulator when I got my first Pentium 4 system, with an ATI Radeon video card of 128 Mb, and system memory of 512Mb, and it ran like a turtle unless I really toned down the graphics complexity. It's like Microsoft Flight Simulator, they show you all the scenery on the box cover, but you need to have deep pockets like Bill Gates to afford a computer powerful enough to run it.

I have Train Simulator on my new system, an Athlon 64 3200+ with 2 gigs of RAM and a 128 Mb Nvidea GeForce 6600GT and sometimes the frame rate still drops down to 20 FPS occasionally. On the previous system it would drop down as low as 12FPS. Really blows.

So yes, as long as it does not require a computer that will not exist until 2 years after the game's release date I will buy it.

http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gifI've done activities for MSTS at Train-sim.com, but apart from being a sim, its a whole different animal.

That almost looks like the Source Engine...is it?

that kind of detail; only engines and landscape.

RS probably has nothing to do with MSTS II, although Kuju was developing it.

One can only wonder.. they even published in-game screenshots from MSTS II before they closed the project!
