The Bombardier Global Express business jet is being turned into the Sentinel R1 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raytheon_Sentinel) for the RAF.

Bombardier is such an interesting company. They build specialize jet liners and jet transport, self powered rail cars for Germany, Seadoo and Skidoo's for the Canadian public (presumably you guys get those things elsewhere - never seen). Neat portfolio of things they do.

And receives millions of free dollars from the Feds because it is a Quebec company. DeHavilland never had it so nice, but then it is in Ontario.

I live in montreal, and my house is perhaps 2km away from the bombardier factory...

sometimes i pass by, and very interesting birds come out of it, all new and shiney http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

yea, although they do get money from feds, they were having lay offs up to last summer...so far i think its doing fine though
