From 14-Jul-2009, Leo Bodnar's BU0836 site appears to be dead.

The message returned is:

This site is temporarily offline

Does anyone have any idea what is going on?
Is he out of business??? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Considering that the entry page is still there while all the individual pages are individually taken down it looks a little as if he got some legal scare letters from one of those lawyers specialized on looking for easy prey on the internet.

Misuse of a protected logo or alleged violation of some bogus patent, or maybe some regional peculiarity. Stuff like that hardly ever leads to anything, but can be dangerous enough to force sites without a dedicated legal team behind it into temporary "safe mode" until the emptyness of the legal threats has been confirmed.

But this is certainly all just speculation, maybe it is just Leo's way of telling us to enjoy summer http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

He won't be out of business, in fact his reason for not answering any questions on his forum (which is still up), was that he was too busy filling orders. I've sent multiple emails and not received responses to any, and other people who sent money still got their product, despite zero communication.

I doubt very much that he'd take money and not send anything, even if he was shutting down.

Perhaps he's just modifying the product pages.

Nice to hear this, which means Leo is at least not OUT of business. Lets hope there will be not much time till the site is back up!

Well, the package was sent July 15th...

LOL, 10 days to cross the Chanel?? My guess is that i will be needing 10 months to get to greece then... I just hope Leo Bodnar is ok and just taking some time off. Enjoy your new toy , Trottel, many of us are envy of you http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif

You very sure?
No need for that I guess, as I got it to cleanup this messy bit:
(3 joystick controllers are somewhere in there, 6 sliders + 2 on pedals, and a lot of buttons)

Biggest issue is: Once I start the conversion, I have to finish it in one go, otherwise... no pil2oting for me!
