This article shed some light on the subject of blending.
http://www.beefjack.com/blog/n...-indepth-experience/ (http://www.beefjack.com/blog/news/360/assassins-creed-2-set-indepth-experience/)

By blending in any crowd, Ubi didn't necessarily mean losing a pursuer in a crowd of people, but by engaging in conversations with the people around you, and appearing as another passerby.
Chances are this may not be the only way to blend but it sure sheds some light on the subject.

You're still losing a pursuer, though, presumably. Or avoiding suspicion until a patrol passes, maybe?

Visibility may dip in night... don't tell me they are doing this stupid light/shade bar like in splinter cell!

While I like shadow-stealth games, I think they should leave it at social stealth for Assassin's Creed. Besides, it would be kind of hard to hide at night in white clothes. And everything is too bright for you to hide in shadows anyway, notice in the demo how you could see everything clearly even when there were no torches?

Adding to that, this game is not about sneaking, I mean there are elemnts of secrecy in order for the assassination to be accurate, but even historicly the assassins made their exectuions publicly and not in stealth, so there's no room for that in this game. That's why they also publish Splinter Cell in the same time.

Click on the edit option and there should be a hyperlink saying "Delete message?".

All of that just to change "accurate" to "successful".

Ooh, pretty! I'm gonna save up & get myself an XM8; ergonomically designed, ambidextrous, lightweight polymer, really brings the games to life! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif
