Taken from interview on SimHq.

Oleg: I think players should upgrade their PC after the release of Storm of War: The Battle of Britain, but not now. Minimum system would be probably like last year good system for IL-2 series.

Myslef got a P4 2.26 Ghz and 1 gig ram so I feel that agony too. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

PIII 850 and 128mb RAM. Onboard sound and a 16 MB video card. You must also have 200MB free on your hard drive.

I'm just figuring on building a new system with specs at least double what I have now.
But I'm not shooting for min specs but a system that can handle bob without upgrades for the next 2-3 yrs.

I figure on doubleing every 2-3 yrs anyway and by the time it ships I should be ready to build a machine to run it.

That's what they said for CFS3... And my uber-Dell can't run it for beans. (Which, by the way, has parts that came out the year AFTER CFS3 was released)

Once you are fully assimilated into the Borg, SOW will run fine.

Otherwise, forget it.

I'm betting it won't run on a Commodore 64.

My guess is that you will need 1 GB RAM as a minimum, 2 is better, 3.5 GHz or better CPU, and a video card in the class of the 7900GT and Windows XP SP2 as the OS. Such a set up would make IL2 scream and should be just enough to be a really good system for the next 12 months.
This will change and become obsolete when Windows Vista and DX10 arrive sometime in 2007.

If you did more reading and less posting, you'd know that there is no definite answer to your question yet. If you had a good video card, you may be able to run the game with reduced settings.

I'm not upgrading my system to play BoB either. Maybe for an interesting add-on though.
