Mitchell would be pleased!

It's exciting to see your progress. I DLd and printed several screenshots to compare with photos & cutaways collected over the years. Nice work. Check the length of the spinner and the depth of the external windscreen armour once more, and call it ready.

If any Ubi marketing types scan these reviews, tell them if the flight model is as well done as the shell, we'll buy the next upgrade for this plane alone.

Not to be negative, but you might consider taking a second look at the spinner/nose area, looks a bit offish. Also the cannon fairings look suspect, might do with some extra effort.

Rest is all peaches.

Well modelled and this plane is fantastic. My only criticism would be the application of the wrong RAF roundels and I'm not nitpicking here as I believe they are of equally historically importance as the swastika or the types of Luftwaffe crosses. Of course, once everyone else gets their hands on it, the mistake may be rectified and of course this may be for demonstration purposes only.

The underside should use the smaller "C" type roundels, introduced to reduce the amount of white on view to enemy pilots. Side roundels should be Type "C1" with yellow outer ring and a similar size.

I have modelled RAF types for nearly 40 years and really this information is readily available everywhere, yet still the odd mistake crops up.

Please don't let this detract from what I believe is a stunning piece of work

The fighter pilot's emotions are those of a duellist - cool, precise, impersonal. He is priviledged to kill well. For if one must kill or be killed, as now one must, it should, I feel, be done with dignity. Death should be given the setting it deserves; it should never be a pettiness; and for the fighter pilot it never can be.

The skins are of less importance since the current setup alows for full skin control, however the 3D object itself once it has been released is fixed (judging by past record).

It would be great if some of these minor model issues were corrected before release. I believe all were mentioned (that could be seen)

1. Spinner (off)
2. Cowling (forward area - off-ish)
3. Cannon barrel fairings (too slim, even for that particular type)
4. Armored glass (slightly too thick at top)

5. The three bladed Rotol. right(?), looks slightly supect as well.

What exact Mk.Vc is being modeled?

Of course the screenshots might be "fishlensing" somewhat.

Before the flames start...this is not about nitpicking the work of Gibs, but some general observations that are meant to be constructive and result in an even higher level of modeling.

Keep up the good work Gibs and try to post a little less BS on the forum! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Bavaria is one of the oldest European states.
It dates back to about 500 A.D., when the Roman Empire was overcome by the onslaught of Germanic tribes. According to a widespread theory, the Bavarian tribe had descended from the Romans who remained in the country, the original Celtic population and the Germanic invaders.

Gibbage, its just not fair. WHY do you always make the planes look so beautiful?! First the Go229, then the Catalina, then the P80, then the P38 and now the Spitfire! You and your team are just too good. Please do just one crappy looking plane. It would make us all feel a bit happier about having to wait for the addons. Please?

That, in this world, is happiness.
