Was down at the local EB store again today. They said that "Sturmovik Add-On" ($29.95) is set for July 9th release now. I asked if it was an Ubi Soft product, an official release, and they said yes. Any official comment?

no new planes, just a lot of new original skins and new campaigns, Just Flight has been making addons for sometime in the FS2002 world. Guess they finnally came over and made some addons for IL2

to see sig. click link
http://hostmysig.com/data/bf109/5452.php
because ubi doesn't support php

Now hear this....Now hear this....Now hear this....

This is NOT the promised add-on from !C:Maddox and Company.

This IS a third-party campaign add-on to IL2.

Okay, so its not a UBI releace? My mistake then. That's a third party thing?

Forget it. I make my own missions, with default skins cos you never see them anyway. I'll wait for the real thing. Thanks.

So does this mean the 3rd party planes are being sold on a seperate cd?

Thats not a new addon guys. Just some company or dude trying to make bucks off of us. Just like the Eastern Thunder addon someone made for The origional IL2 game. Dont waste your money on it. It aint even by Ubi Soft.

Not at all like the Eastern Thunder add-on. Ossi's Barbarossa campaign contains 250 missions. The retail version has had considerable tuning and refinement over the free download that was available (and may still be) some time ago. Eastern Thunder had less than 30 missions.

I think I'll wait to see the finished form of FB before sinking any more money into it or any other 1C products. I've been happier with other sims that did less but did the less right to a higher degree. I really like the extra detail level but the picture never seems to get filled in and I'm getting tired of keeping up enthusiasm for yet another sim with loads of promise.

HmM if this add-on pack contains a good, dynamic campaign then I might consider of bying it.. but I doubt that will happen..
