View Full Version : For those who feel outclassed by trim on a slider

Before I aquired my Saitek X-45, which I currently have a wheel mapped to elevator trim, I had a Logtech Wingman Extreme.

I mapped my throttle lever to the trim and used buttons for throttle. This is an easy thing to do on any joystick with a throttle lever....so if you can't beat em, join em!

TrackIR represents the same sort of advantage to me...others see it differently, but I am glad to see the response time changed back. A trim wheel had to be moved many turns for big adjustments but small adjustments were quick and insataneous as pilots had there left and on throttle/trim wheel constantly.

If anything needs to change then there should be a graduated/curve set to the time for trim reaction...for example...instataneous up to 10% changed, 1 sec for 10-25...2 sec for 25-50 etc...

Anyways, there is a solution...and someone brought up the mouse wheel solution too...excellent idea!
