View Full Version : Arado cruise speed and trim question

greetings: I have started building on some arado 234 single missions and have run into a minor problem with speed and trim. It seems the in game bombsight wont toggle height past 6000m,
so no extreme high altitude bombing, but I cant seem to get my arado to behave at regular speeds etc.

Currently stooging about with 3x 500 kg bombs, 75% fuel and it needs afterburner to stay at 5000m usually 82% power.

So then I have to constantly fight with the trim, usually starts out way nose heavy and once trimmed I usually slowly loose alt after engaging level stabilizer.

Is the fmb speed you input when placing objects in TAS or IAS? Currently using 350IAS 385TAS and hitting within a 2 building radius of aiming point using auto lock, no real problems with sight speed etc as all done in kmph.

My big headache is maintianing speed/alt without afterburner. Tried using just the 1000kg bomb and it wasnt much better.

Does anyone have a proper cruise speed setting they would like to share? Im trying 65% power but with 75% fuel it just gradually looses alt. Will commence further testing tonight with 60% fuel and 4000m altitude.

haven't tried high alt bombing with the Arado yet, but i noticed the same gradual height loss on level stab with the B25, cured it by using combat flaps.
Might be worth a try to see if it cures your prob with the Arado. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif
