Ok, did anyone else notice that area outside of Acre? There are two walls of "subject cannot access" by Acre for most of the game. The one further from Acre opens up as the path to Arsuf during mem block 6. The other one (just behind the view point) never seems to open. What is that supposed to be? It's the only area blocked up for the entire game. What's back there?
Can I unlock it somehow?

Nah you can't unlock it, im pretty sure its a beta area they decided to scrap before the game came out.

Don't be silly. It's the fourth wall.

I heard somewhere that once you collect all the flags in the game (of all 3 factions that is - the Crusaders, the Saracen and the assassins), you can go to a bureau and recieve a golden feather, which will open theloked memory areas.

Well that was completely false and that was the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
I mean, can you at least confirm it elsewhere before spreading it where other gullible users can potentially read it?

P.S. your sig is wayy to big,

I never said that information was trusty. I only said that I heard it somewhere.

as said above the wall has chance to either lead to an area of the game that was scrapped for the final version, or the second possibility is behind that wall is the debug room used for beta/alpha testing, a lot of games still have these in the code they are just never accessible by normal means.

or the third less likely option is they placed that there as a place holder in case they decided to release a DLC as it would allow them to connect new maps onto the game.

Or maybe if you buy AC2 and create a new savefile, the new area gets unlocked http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Also, it ticks me off how many people have copied my signature.

I didn't post it anywhere, it's always been part of my sig. For some reason, it just refused to show anything other than a link for a couple days.

didn't u post it on one of the topics? u asked if it worked or where u found it in a pm to people and then one of them leaked it

Well you can put under your signature that you are the original owner and not be upset that other people are using the countdown. It typically happens close to release to have several users in a forum using countdown signatures. Everyone is excited about the game release AND imitation is the greatest form of flattery after all http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

All in all, please continue the sig discussion in the chat thread, not here.

Thanks http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Of course, thank you for your coolheaded reasoning as always zgubilici http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

My original point was that spreading misinformation, no matter if you heard it or confirmed it, is bad. Very bad.

That is false I have all the flags/achievements for AC1 and you get nothing from completing all flags/templars. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sadeyes.gif

Im pretty sure this "secret area" is impossible to get in. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

I heard rumours of a Spiderman skin. Wasn't very believable at the time though. Would be awesome if they do it in AC2. In spite of obvious licensing issues...

*steers back on topic* EEEEEERCH!
So it's safe to assume it's just an testing area that got walled off with Desmond's mental limitations instead of scenery?
