View Full Version : IL2- Ace Expansion Question and CH Flightstick - Newbie !!

Hi Folks,

I posted here about a year ago but since I have not really played IL-2 at all I consider myself a newbie.

I would like to change that and have 2 quick questions.

1. Does the IL-2 Forgotten Battles Gold Pack include all the patches that were released for Forgotten Battles including the new ground objects etc.. ???

2. I prefer to play my flight sims with the vintage - original CH Flightstick ( not Pro ) My guess is that the stick is 8 - 9 years old. Is there a problem or limitation with that while playing IL-2 FB ???

I appreciate the opportunity to post and thanks in advance for your responses.

i dont see any problems playing with that stick, i myself started with it also. used mouse to scan sky when not in fight, both guns shooting from trigger, and machineguns seperatelly firing on one button. hat for flaps and other for lookin bit with snap views, one button for looking forward up, useful in combat.

it was old stick, used it lots, it worn out then and caused spikin, so, bought TM hotas cougar, cos , was hooked in this sim, wasnt wise decision, cos, Cougar worn out in 4 months that i could not fly anymore with it, cos of spikin, and huge centerplay. had 2 of those, no, again happy user of CH usb fighterstick and usb pro throttle plus simped rudder pedals http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif good combo, no problems with this set http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

stick with CH if u can.

The gold pack has the patches on it that takes it up to the full AEP Aces add on version.. there are a couple for AEP though tpo put on over that, but as far as the ones between FB and AEP , AEP will patch those for you, but if you bought the Pacific cd to go with the Gold pack that would bring it up to version 3.0 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif of course there is some patches for that as well

Sigh it never stops does it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
