It should, but even at 100 percent fuel, the P-51 will be able to dogfight for hours

Any word on the RADAR in the rear? I read somwhere that the later P51Ds had a "low six" radar that would detect an aircraft on the "low six" of a P51D. The indicater was a little RED light that was mounted on the LHS of the dash. I first read about this back in the EAW days.. They had the light on the dash.. but I dont think it actually worked.

i just hope they dont put the screws to the P-51 like the P-47http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif i konw it wasnt the best dog fighter and probably didnt have the gratest roll rate but the old P-47 was a little ******ed just hope we dont have to go trough that with the P-51D http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The P-51 wasn't the only airplane to eventually get this feature. Others, like the P-38 were also equipped with them, and I'm sure there were many more.
