what do yo think about the black and white edition's having different specifications on there cloaks for example something like the black cloak has more stealth or the white cloak has better power in its attacks?

Its probably just something that shows his rank, not something that gives him any added ability or anything.

Are you ignoring or simply overlooking the metal plates, pauldrons and leg-guards? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

The cloaks shouldn't play an pivotal role in the game other than their color. If each cloak has certain element in it, then we're getting into rpg-heavy elements. Because rpg games rely on armor and equipment with stat bonuses, not action adventure games.

I really thought this topic was going to be about LE Cloaks in the packaging for us to wear. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif Now that would be sweet! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I think the black cloak is a symbol of wisdom. All the Rafiks and Al Mualim wore black, everyone else wore white.

I think the black is a symbol of rank as well, since Al Mualim was the leader of all the assassins, and the rafiks were also the leaders of the Bureaus in each city.

the black cloak is nothing more then the master assassin cloak which is unlocked towards the end of the game

Well duh. But if he's a "master assassin" then he would be wearing a black cloke if Xanatos' theory is correct.

not sure i follow what you mean thekyle0, Ezio will unlock and be able to wear the black cloak when he becomes a master assassin

Xanatos is saying that to the assassins, black is a symbol of wisdom. If Ezio becomes a master assassin, than he would wear a master assassin cloak. That is why we unlock it at the end. It's because Ezio becomes a master assassin.

That would mean that he gets the cloak for a reason. It sounded like you thought it was just there, but for no particular reason other than, "You finished the game. Now this new suit is going to show up on Ezio and we're not going to explain how it got there."

My bad. I'm not feeling very lucid right now. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Thanks for clearing that up anyway.

Altair was a Grandmaster of the Assassins, but he still wore white... I think it's because he was still technically an operative and white was more tactically advantageous (monks etc). But yeah, I'd still prefer black.

Seeing Altair in black after playing through AC so many times would just seem weird.

Ezio, though....

Black is awesome.

I hope they release a trilogy LE set with some form of costume item from each game. Worldwide. Literally EVERYWHERE the games are legal. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
