Hi:

You have got way too many polys on that! remember you only have 3000 to spend. If you carry on like that, you will end up over 10000.

*Clocks are just a 2 poly square with painted clocks and alpha channel around them (outside clock)
*Pannels don't get "beveled", just simple sprite or low poly flat mesh with all (including faked 3D) painted.
*Rudders are normally 4-6 polys mesh, or even a 2 poly sprite with mapped alpha peddals (texture does all)

Go to il2center.com for more info, or the Forums for more advice.

Advice: Listen to this or you will end up wasting time

Yes, I agree with Xanty. You need to flatten everything. Most guages have no more then 2 pollygons, and the needle another 2 pollygons. Here is a wireframe pic of the P-80 cockpit. You can see its just under 3000..

Thanks a lot guys.. I know.. it's quite a lot of polys..
Put most of the geometry it's just a place holder for
a simpler and texturixed element.. Somebody will start
the texures pretty soon, probabily next week and I'm going to pass him the right geometry..

Thanks for modeling that for us, dux-1. I am looking forward to flying in your cockpit someday! It is interesting to see how you modelers ply your craft.

Here is the pic:

I am looking forward to flying this bird. Looks like dux-1 got the polygon counts down.

AHA! I was right. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif You were doing the 202, but now are making the 205 pit. Are you making both or just the 205? Thank you very much either way, your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Great work i can't wait to fly it.

"The Eyeties are comparatively easy to shoot down. Oh, they're brave enough. In fact, I think the Eyeties have more courage than the Germans, but their tactics aren't so good. They are very good gliders, but they try to do clever acrobatics and looping. But they will stick it even if things are going against them, where as the Jerries will run." Beurling in Malta Spitfire

Hi, yes I was working on the Folgore, but Oleg told me that he would prefer me to work on the 205, since Llancalot is working on it already.. Thanks guys!

Thanks Dux for the clarification and thanks for all the hard work. I can't believe we are going to get both the 202 and 205, that is awesome. Good luck to you and Llancalot.
