Real Time is the total opposite of turn based like what hatch said. Think of Oblivion or Jade Empire. Perfect Examples. I like Real Time because there's no saving roll **** http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif

like all the zeldas, starfox adventures, that kinda stuff. It's where you control something and the second you press say forward on the control stick they go forward on the screen. not like "pick an action" and stuff.

KOTOR was quasi-real-time. you picked the move but the character performed it in real-time. it was turn-based under the bonnet.
