I actually had the opportunity to briefly visit Yap (and Iwo Jima) several years ago. These guys took much better pictures.

This guys from the site aren't very good archeologists. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Shore gun that was moved to the airfield sometime after WWII. Often incorrectly identified as an anti-aircraft gun. The Zero of site 3 is in the background.

While this, actually, is a 75mm Army Type 88 anti-aircraft gun. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Wish somebody would reclaim the B5N while there are still some big pieces of the fuselage left. There is no other left in the world.

Yeah, yeah. The fact, that type 88 was oftenly used as shore defence gun (because they didn't have anything better) doesn't deny the fact, that it was an AA gun.

Or, may be, we shouild say, that Flak 18 is oftenly incorrectly identified as an anti-aircraft gun, while actually it was AT gun, since it was oftenly used in this role with a great success, eh? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
