Started flying online about week ago. At first it was difficult even just to see an enemyplane. Now I have succeeded shooting down a few planes. It is surprisingly satisfying to be able to bring at leats 1 foe down ( after they have shot me many, many times )
Yestereday I chased one 'red' with 109-K. I started with the distance 1500m and when I was in 500m I tried for a lucky shot. Few shots from 13mm guns and 1 shot from 30mm cannon and bang... enemy lost his left wing. Totally satisfying !
Before that I managed to shoot one of the reds down with 109G6, but this sharpshooting felt much better. ( I refuse to tell how many times those evil reds managed to shoot me )
Now I just hope I could have a broadband to be able to fly without lag. I have tried to find servers with <160 ping, but i believe broudband would be better.
Tried to fly a mission offline tomorrow, but it won't satisfy me anymore.

Totally hooked SheerLuck Holmes (flying as Rappio online)

Yeah...very interesting to fly against thinking opposition.
Once u have flown online its very difficult to go back to offline.
There are so many tactical issues to explore online and u really work hard to outwit a foe.
And the possibility that the enemy makes mistakes is present.

Also the enemies wont see u when u hide in clouds like the ai does.

It's indeed far more easier to hide in or behind clouds, under the belly of a foe (lag persuit) or surprise one during climbing or other basic manouvres.
On the other hand it's much more difficult to actually hit a wild (uncontrolable) moving human opponant.
And yes, it's a kind of addictive I guess.
