The guy "boogying" down the hill is my "visual ipecac"

If you only vaguely remember it,you're not old.If it's burned into your mind, then you're old.

If you have one that still works-you're some sort of guru(or the biggest nerd on Earth)! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Lyrics from Naked Raygun's "Rat Patrol".
"What we need to take control,we could use the Rat Patrol. What's that coming over the dune?...
Chasing the halftracks across the sandflats, got a nice pine box,for that desert fox, machine guns blaring, and Arabs staring wondering why,the Westerners are there. It's the same old story, and it'll happen again."

Did you know that there's a new 1/18 scale P-51D from the 332nd FG? Cpt. Roscoe Brown's "Bunnie". Comes with a figure of Cpt. Brown for the cockpit that looks like him

50 bucks from Historic Aviation, it's #99236D in the catalog, #0099236 at the site. 50 dollar offer is apparently good through the end of December.

What you have to remember is that Alice was all about the show...anything to get and hold your attention (and thereby pick up a little cash).

As I recall, though, The Muppets Show was first on in the early '80s, when Alice's fame had largely died down.

I've still got the GE radio the brunette chick w/the guitar is using. Works just fine, despite being dropped a few times. From 20 miles away, it could pick up the only three rock/pop stations on the FM dial in Richmond, VA (Q94, XL102, and I-forget-the-call-letters 103.7).
It was excellent for AM, too, which pretty much meant WRVA 1140. Don't remember Mr. Microphone being on the market, tho.

I got a Mr. Microphone for Christmas as a joke gift.
Back in the late 70's I think.
I don't remember throwing it away, but it's long gone.

OK, I've been a fairly frequent visitor to these forums, and only NOW do I get the picture that Bearcat99 has as his signature.

The guy on the poster has a funny forehead, so I thought he was in the Grossly Misshapen Forehead Squadron...

That's a cool model plane, by the way

That guy is Robert W. Diez... (Pronounced Deetz) of the 99th.

BTW the plane is nice.. it has a 15" wingspan.

Cpt. Brown sure had a looong neck. Is it because it is a detachable pilot head, or did really the guy have E.T.'s neck? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Intrestingly enough... when it was first announced it was going for $49.99.. which is what I paid... total $57 & change with shipping and tax and I think the original asking price was $79.
